The Docks Look Great. Can You Prove the Rest?

A marina is a fuel depot, a boatyard and a power utility on the water. X3 Marina keeps the oil spill plan, stormwater inspections, fire gear, shore power checks, travel lift inspections and fuel dock records in date for every site you run.

The Exposure

EPA Fines Arrive by Mail. The Inspection Was Months Ago.

A marina storing more than 1,320 gallons of oil above ground needs an SPCC plan reviewed every 5 years and a yearly briefing for fuel handlers (40 CFR 112). A boatyard with an industrial stormwater permit inspects and samples on a schedule. EPA settlements with boatyards have topped $100,000 — usually for paperwork that was never done.

The permit has a schedule whether anyone is watching or not. X3 puts it on the clock.

Straight Answers

Questions Operators Ask About X3 Marina.

Have one that is not here? Ask X3, or write to us and a person will answer.

Boats blocked up on the hard in a boatyard for repairs
Does my marina need an SPCC plan?
If you store more than 1,320 gallons of oil above ground and a spill could reach the water, yes (40 CFR 112). X3 tracks the plan and its reviews.
Which stormwater permit do I have?
Many boatyards are covered by EPA's Multi-Sector General Permit (Sector Q) or a state permit. Enter its schedule and X3 keeps you on it.
Does it cover boat repair safety?
Boat repair work falls under OSHA's shipyard rules. X3 Shipyard covers hot work, confined spaces and the injury log, and it is in the same plan.
Can I track electric shock drowning risk?
Yes. Log ground-fault tests and electrical inspections for every dock so problems are found before someone swims near a leaking pedestal.
How is it priced?
One plan includes every X3 Maritime product: $250 a month covers 3 vessels or sites and 25 people, then $49 a month per extra vessel or site and $3 per extra person. Pay for a year and get two months free.
